Program of the Year

NACURH and one of its professional counterparts, ACUHO-I (the Association of College and University Housing
Officers-International), recognizes the most outstanding student-implemented program concerning residence
halls through Program of the Year (POY). This award was created in an effort to recognize the high level of initiative and professionalism that exists on the student level. Programs must have been presented between the dates of October 2, 2023 and October 1, 2024.

Program of the Year Timeline
Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at 11:59pm HST: Bids are submitted Bids, POY application, newsletter article, and Presenter’s Commitment Verification Form must be submitted to the NACURH Associate for Engagement at nae@nacurh.org.

Sunday, December 15, 2024: Confirmation/disqualification emails sent to schools by NAE after verification that bids meet NACURH policy requirements. Bidding schools will be granted an opportunity to correct policy violations, should they exist, by a specified date.​

2024 Winning Program of the Year Bid​
January 2-6, 2025 NACURH Semi-Annual Business Meeting: NACURH Boards will meet at the Semi-Annual Business Meeting and select a winner for the award.

By Monday, January 27, 2025: Schools that submitted POY bids will be notified of the results.
​​
March 2025: NAE works with POY winner to plan for presentation at the 2025 Annual Conference.
​
May 24-27, 2025: Winner attends the 2025 Annual Conference. Practice and presentation information and schedules will be communicated by the NAE in the spring.

Summer/Fall 2025: Present session via webinar to ACUHO-I institutions.
