NRHM is celebrated in April.NACURH Spring Into Service Week is a NRHH tradition that focuses intensely on serving our world community (local, regional and national) through service. During this week, we ask member schools to organize a couple community service projects on their campus that will benefit the on-campus community and/or a worth while non-profit organization/cause. NACURH Spring Into Service Week is a part of National Residence Hall Month and covers the area of service (the other areas being programming, recognition and advocacy). The NACURH Spring Into Service Committee is charged with creating a comprehensive guide for member schools to assist in selecting organizations and projects to execute during this week. Below is a list of some suggested projects:
- Shelter
- Regional/Local Causes
- Drives (Blood, Books, Can food, Clothing, Fundraising, Voter Registration, etc.)
- Time Donations (Habitat for Humanity, Youth Organizations, Humane Society, etc.)
- Community Cleanup/Beautification
- Care Packages/Letters to those in need (Children, Elderly, and Armed Forces)
- Marathons for a Cause (Relay for Life, Dance Marathon, etc.)
- Conservation Projects
We will update you here as more information becomes available on NACURH Spring Into Service Week. Service is one of the pillars of NRHH which is a pride of our organization!
