The National Association of College and University Residence Halls, Incorporated, recognizes living on campus as an integral part of the college experience, and therefore strives to be the organization of choice for residence hall leaders by providing comprehensive resources for college and university students seeking to create the ultimate residence hall environment and experience.

Mission Statement

NACURH is the leading national organization advocating for the interests and welfare of residence hall students, while also providing opportunities for their personal growth and development. It is an organization of students committed to developing leadership, honoring diversity, recognizing achievement, as well as stimulating engagement and involvement among students who reside in college and university residence halls. Through regional and national programs and services, NACURH provides leadership opportunities for students, shares residence hall programming resources and best practices, and coordinates activities with appropriate professional associations and business partners.

NACURH Programming Grant

Thank you for your interest in NACURH, Inc.! The NACURH Programming Grant is specially designed to help take programming within your college or university to the next level. We are looking for programs that embody the mission and vision of NACURH, Inc.




Goals of Programming Grant

As stated in our preamble, it is our sole responsibility to serve as a voice in:

  1. Promoting student intellectual, education, cultural, physical and social welfare;
  2. Designing and facilitating programs and informational services;
  3. Maintaining consistent and constructive procedures in matters relating to on campus residence living and,
  4. Providing an avenue for assisting students to achieve fuller participation in life of the college community.

As a service of NACURH, Inc., your college or university has the opportunity to apply for a program grant during a NACURH year (June 2007- June 2008).

Grants will be awarded based on need through an intensive application process. As such, programs that NACURH is interested in should be focused around leadership, diversity, community building/development, advocacy, safety, and education. All programming sponsored by this grant must be alcohol-free. However, we appreciate creativity as your program does not have to be categorized into one section. Your program should take place between late January and early May 2008.

Please review all deadlines and supplemental materials required. Any missing documents that are required will not be considered for the 2007-2008 year. Your college or university may not use the grant funds for personal benefit and must directly be utilized toward bettering the program.

Submission Process & Deadlines

All materials must be submitted by 5:00 PM EST - December 1st, 2007 through mail or electronic mail. If you select electronic mail, it is advised that you submit your materials, in its entirety, prior to the deadline to avoid technological errors that NACURH, Inc. is not responsible for.
