Welcome to the NACURH Services and Recognition Office (NSRO)! Our purpose is to manage the non-technical services of NACURH. Well what does that mean? Simply put we coordinate many of the services offered for all the affiliated schools in NACURH and its eight affiliated regions, including the Of-The-Month (OTM) program and all NACURH and NRHH merchandise. Our office works very closely with the National Board of Directors, NRHH National Board, and of course the most important people we work with and for are the member schools of NACURH!
The NSRO is now proudly hosted by the University of Tennessee, Knoxville! Our staff hopes to bring proudly serve NACURH the best way possible, and we will be rolling out some new services for the use by our member schools. If you have any questions regarding who we are or what we do, please contact one of our helpful staff members!
NSRO News
My name is Jeffrey Quirin and I am the new director for the NSRO, as many of you know. Over the summer, a few schools raised questions as to how various aspects of the NSRO might become more transparent and user friendly. In response to that the NSRO as of November 1, 2009, and in most cases sooner, will implement the following , in order to better serve NACURH and its' member schools.
1) There now be a document or spreadsheet posted on the NSRO page at http://www.nacurh.org/NSRO/nsro.php that will show each school's order and its' current state (e.g. received, processed, packed, or sent). This list will be updated on a weekly basis on Thursday and should be posted via the NIC by Friday evening.
2) Additionally, this will be the first of many bi-weekly updates that will again be posted on by Friday evening via the NIC. Updates will serve to enhance communication between member schools and the NSRO. These will serve as an overview of the status of projects the office is working on in addition to looking ahead.
3) There will be a document that will describe each staff members' responsibilities within the office. This should enable member schools to contact the correct person that could most easily help them with the issue. However, if a school is not sure who to contact they should contact me at nsro_director@nacurh.org and I will direct you in the right direction or help you directly.
4) In addition, to office hours at the NSRO office, the director will have online office hours that will be listed biweekly as well. During this time you may contact me via chat or webcam at sn: utknsrodirector .
The NSRO Assistant Directors as well as myself will try to assist all of the member schools in any way that we can. If anyone has more suggestions that they believe would be beneficial for the NSRO to initiate, have any concerns, or feel they have not received a full or timely response PLEASE contact me at nsro_director@nacurg.org.
Thank you,
Jeffrey Quirin
NSRO Director
