National Residence Hall Honorary (NRHH)

Christina Alch
Christina Alch
Associate Director of NRHH

Hello moose friends!

My name is Christina Alch and I am the North East Affiliate of College and University Residence Halls (NEACURH) Associate Director for the National Residence Hall Honorary (NRHH). It is my absolute pleasure to welcome you to the NEACURH NRHH website!

NRHH is proudly the premiere organization recognizing the top 1% of on-campus leadership in the residence halls. One of the greatest aspects of NRHH is its uniqueness and adaptability for the campus and its student leaders. Each chapter develops its own process for selecting members, as well as its own chapter-specific traditions. However, the foundation of NRHH is what ties all of the chapters together; NRHH is founded upon four pillars: Leadership, Scholastics, Recognition, and Community Service. Members embody each of these pillars, and act as an integral member of your Residence Life program. As they spend their time actively participating in NRHH, these individuals continue to carry out these pillars in everything that they do, and spread them throughout your campus.

If you are a student or advisor interested in bringing this experience to your campus, do not hesitate to contact me. I look forward to hearing from you!

The GSA created a social event to kick off a week long program on the 14th of April. The GSA bought hundreds of crayons and canvases then had students glue the crayons on...

Institution Faculty/Staff

Paul Tanklefsky, Suffolk University
Nominated by Scott Paiva
It's often rare within an academic institution to come across a faculty member who is so willing to go the 'extra mile' and take an extra initiative to benefit the overall student population, that it sometimes feels almost note-worthy when you come across it. However, it's even more extraordinary when that same faculty member is able to complete that type of feat numerous times within a single semester. The person I have decided to nominate for Institution Faculty Member is none o...

Residential Community

Miller Hall 18th& 19th floors, Suffolk University

Strangers to residents to acquaintances to friends and then finally to a giant family. Throughout this past year this has been the trend that my floors have followed. As a first year RA I was not sure what to expect when I found out that I would have mostly sophomore residents, coming into the position I was really hoping for all first year students. I had heard many mixed opinions on what it would be like to have both second and first year residents. I was told that the freshmen would be...
